Engineer Alfred Graubart, co-owner of the shoe shop Graubart in Museumstrasse and brother of the murdered Richard Graubart lived with his wife Maria, née Herold, at Haydnplatz 8. During
the night of 9 November Alfred Graubart received blows in his face which
resulted in severe head injuries and contusion. Maria Graubart tried
to call for help for her unconscious husband but was prevented from doing
so by the threat of execution.
They were able to flee to Switzerland.
